During the Museum night by Porto Alegre, the main cultural centers are open to visitors and the streets and squares host presentations of music, art, film and literature. The festival, which is completely free, has been in existence since 2016 and will take place again in person after the pandemic on May 21, from 19:00 to 01:00.

In addition, there will be two stages in the historic center: the first new customs squarea traditional meeting point that has been around since the 18th century, and the second for the Military Brigade Museum† Other presentations take place in the gardens of the museums, such as that of the House of Culture Mario Quintanato do UFRGS Planetarium It is from Museum of Porto Alegre Joaquim Felizardo† The artists wander between rock, pop, jazz and regionalist instrumental music, but there are also theater performances, film projections and slam (spoken poetry). For safety and better pedestrian traffic, some streets in the region will be closed to car traffic.
